Isma’s Tear is an ability that will allow you to swim in acid. It can be found in the Royal Waterways which is just below the city of tears. This ability is not required to beat the game but it will make access to some areas much easier.
Requirements to find Isma’s Tear:
- Vengeful Spirit
- Mothwing Cloak
- Mantis Claw
- Desolate Dive
- Lumafly Lantern
- Crystal Heart
- Simple Key
Where to Find Isma’s Tear
We are going to start at the ground level of the City of Tears. You will need a Simple key in order to open the door and get started. Below is an image of the full path to get Isma’s Tear
As soon as you drop into the Royal Water head to the left and move into the next room. At the start you can follow the drawings on the walls towards a bench.
This is where you will need the Desolate Dive in order to open the path and get to the bench. There is another way to get around to the bench without desolate dive but this is by far the easiest way. After sitting at the bench head to the right
When you come to a fork in the road and can go up or down, go up. This is going to lead to a boss fight that is required to open the path later for Isma’s Tear.
Continue with the path until you make your way to the boss fight with the Dung Defender.
Once he is defeated there is a switch in the next room that you MUST hit in order to continue going after Isma’s Tear
Once this is done, go back to the fork in the road you reached earlier and this time go down and to the right.
There is only one path for quite some ways. Just keep going until you see some crystals on the ground. That is the point where you will need the Crystal Heart ability.
Once you make your way across you will find another fork in the road.
- Left it will lead you back to the City of Tears. Once top side you can go to the right which will lead to the King’s Station which is a stag station. Or you can go to the left and make it to the locked door and open up the second half of the City of Tears
- Right to make your way to Isma’s Tear
This path to the right is only open if you hit the switch after defeating the Dung Defender. Follow this path up and around. There is one room that will lock you in to defeat enemies and once done you will reach Isma’s Tear.
You will need to use this new found ability to dive into the acid and swim out to the left. If you did not do so already, it is a good idea to make your way to the City of Tears and unlock the King’s Station. This stag station is a central hub to get to a lot of the late game areas.
